By popular demand, I am taking the leap at long last! In order for folks to be able to search through the archives of the many Facebook entries I’ve posted since 2009, I’ve decided to create a blog! Over time, I will transport what I’ve posted on Facebook to this site so it is easier to find!

I’m very happy you’ve decided to start a blog! I have referenced your work on my blog many times, linking to your facebook page. There are a lot of people who are not on facebook, so I’m glad I can send them here now :)
Thank you for the support, Tiffany! I will take a good look at your blog as well!
Woohoo!
Woohoo, indeed!
Yay!!
Thanks, Lisa! I am so excited to start moving all of the content of 2 years to this site so we have an online library to search!
Sandrine, Brilliant! SO glad you made the switch to a blog! It’s going to be fantastic being able to search your blog archives and comments. Hooray!! :-)
I’m not sure if you’ve already looked into it, but I highly recommend your “upgrade” to a paid version of your WP blog for $12-$30 per year which offers you and your readers some important perks. Read about them here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/upgrades/
Upgrading allows you to have a URL that does not include “wordpress” in the name, so you could place your blog right on your website domain: http://www.nourishingourchildren.org/blog
This part is especially important for website optimization (SEO) – basically, more people will find your site via your blog because of all your great content, and since your blog will have the same domain name as your main site, you will get better rankings, more visibility, and thus your educational materials will get more exposure to all those people who desperately need them out there! Feel free to email me if I can guide you in any way. I love NOC! :-)
Thanks, Annika – just as a matter of clarification — it isn’t a switch to a blog. Our website will remain intact, as will our Facebook page. This will be an additional component to our online presence. We will link to the blog from our website. I have already upgraded to Custom Design — which was critical for me as I wanted as much design choice as possible. I only launched 2 or 3 days ago, so I will take some time to consider all of my options! Thanks, Annika. I may very well connect with you! Do you have a blog?
Hi Sandrine, Yes, I understood that you were not “switching” to a blog and adding it as an additional component. And I’m so thrilled! When I said “so glad you switched to a blog…” I intended to say, switched from posting articles on Facebook to posting them onto the blog. (I’m assuming you will be doing most of your longer writing here rather than on Facebook where it’s impossibly hard to search archives and find all those great posts you’ve made over the years).
Yes, I do have a WordPress blog myself, and love how easy it is to use. It’s currently part of my website. I use it as a place to post nutrition questions from clients and my answers. Here is the link: http://foodforkidshealth.com/category/baby-nutrition/
Thank you again for all the well thought out and researched writing you do, and the fantastic images which accompany all your writing. It’s always a pleasure to read and view your work :-)
