What does the Weston A. Price Logo represent?
The logo superimposes three faces over the map of the world.
Reading from left to right, the first face is the broad face of someone who was nurtured with a nutrient-dense traditional diet, as were the traditional peoples of Alaska, Australia and the Pacific region, over which the face is positioned.
The left-hand face is the past. The middle face is the narrow face of someone brought up on industrialized food. It represents the present. The face is positioned over North America where these foods originated. The deleterious effects of these industrialized foods were first described by Dr. Weston Price whose name indicates to us that this legacy is truly the “price of the west,” the price cultures pay for western modernization.
The face on the right is the goal, the future–once again broad faces that come from nourishing diets. The face is superimposed on Europe and Africa, the ancestral homelands of many Americans, and the traditions we re-embrace in order to restore nutrient-dense foods to American tables.
Why am I a member?
I have been a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation since 2004. Very soon after I was introduced to the book Nourishing Traditions, I joined the Foundation, not really knowing what it was all about, but wanting to learn more. When I joined, I never imaged that 10 years later I would be named to the Foundation’s Honorary Board of Directors. I never imagined that my association with the Weston A. Price Foundation would so fundatmentally change my life personally and professionally.
As many of your know, I founded the San Francisco Chapter in 2004 and now serve as a co-chapter leader in Portland. Nourishing Our Children, which I created in 2005, is an educational initiative of the Weston A. Price Foundation. Our educational materials are based on presentations given by Sally Fallon Morell. Many of those in a position of leadership feel like family to me. And like many families, there have been challenging moments of disagreement yet, I have chosen to stay connected to the Foundation because I wholeheartedly support their mission, which has become my mission.
The reason I continue to be a member, year after year, is because my membership supports:
- The hosting and maintaining of a comprehensive website that I look toward for vital information almost daily.
- Nearly 600 local chapters to help health-conscious consumers obtain nutrient-dense foods locally.
- The Campaign for Real Milk established to help folks locate raw milk and support the growing raw milk movement.
- Soy Alert! a campaign to eliminate this toxic food from our diet.
- Public outreach and education at over 100 events each year.
- Laboratory research on fat-soluble vitamins and other nutrition topics.
- Financial support to Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund.
- The annual Shopping Guide research and publication.
- A registered nurse on call to answer baby questions.
- Phone and email correspondence to answer countless inquiries that the Foundation receives.
Please join the Foundation for their end-of-the-year membership drive and receive bonus coupons.
Members receive:
- The quarterly journal: Wise Traditions in Food, Farming, and the Healing Arts, a lively journal with cutting-edge articles on current scientific research, human diets, pasture-based agriculture, holistic therapies, legislative updates, legal issues, as well as sources of nutrient-dense foods.
- The annual Shopping Guide, a thoroughly researched booklet that fits into your pocket or purse and ranks products in three categories: best, good and avoid. It includes meat, seafood, dairy, nuts, grains, fats and oils, sweeteners, soups, fruits and vegetables, snacks, bread and beverages.
- Their informative brochures.
- One copy each of their dietary guidelines booklet and their seven trifold brochures covering the topics butter, cholesterol, cancer, cod liver oil, soy, real milk and trans fats.

I look on the website all the time for information and am grateful for the fact that I have learned so much as a result. I appreciate the shopping guide and my local chapter, both of which offer me guidance as to where to find nourishing foods. The Foundation has offered me a lot of guidance I had not have found elsewhere.
I found out about this wonderful Foundation after the birth of my daughter Willow. We did a 360 on our lifestyle. I would love to keep up with the latest news that the WAPF has to offer. I also hope to one day have a future little one featured in the WAPF babies section (we are planning for one more ;-) )
When our son was 6 months old he was diagnosed with a gross motor delay – he couldn’t sit up straight and leaned to the side. We soaked up as much research as we could. Around that time we started a probiotic and ran across cod liver oil on the website. Green Pastures did more for his muscle tone than physical therapy! Since the beginning of our health journey the website has been intrinsic to our family vitality as we learn about everything from parasites to GAPS to cookware to preconception diets. I thought I knew what was healthy, being a nurse, but I had no clue about traditional health. A membership would be wonderful as our appetites to learn more are still voracious and as we seek to love healthier and impact others as well.
I very randomly came across the book Nourishing Traditions and I haven’t been the same since! I went to a chapter meeting as a guest of a friend and I just knew I would do all I could to retrain myself and my family’s way of eating. Because I choose to stay home with our children our income doesn’t allow for a lot of the pricier options for meat and dairy and eggs. Joining the foundation will put me into networks with people who are ahead of me on this journey against the dangerous American diet.
I also own Nourishing Our Children. I recently gave birth to twins and am excited to start them on egg yolks and liver soon. My two older children have done so well on cod liver oil and ask for it each day. I’m learning more each day and my children won’t have to be at a disadvantage due to a poor non-nutritious diet.
I discovered Weston A. Price foundation when my dad received a diagnosis or early stage prostate cancer. I hit the web for all the info I could find and found WAPF. I gave my dad advice from the site and also from local WAPF groups and he followed it and, at his 6 month follow up, he was free and clear. Since then, we have been following WAPF principles more and more and would love to have more knowledge and information to help us raise healthy, happy kids and stay healthy ourselves.
Thank you for keeping us informed and for putting together this contest! :)
Wow! Zoya, I’d love to interview you to write an article about the details!
The WAPF had impacted my life by motivating me with chapter meetings to improve my diet. The meetings help keep me motivated because they remind me why I am on this journey. The meetings also give me ideas on how to continue. And of course, the mission to teach and to provide resources is so valuable. I love sharing the WAPF with my community. I am also grateful for the Nourishing Traditions book as a resource for great information and great recipes. The Foundation has empowered me to be able to really nourish my children and for that I will be forever grateful!!!
The Weston A. Price Foundation has changed mine and my daughters life! Only because I have knowledge about whole, traditional foods, and how to prepare them, does my daughter live healthfully, and at proper weight, today. The knowledge the foundation has given me has also made me capable of taking care of my thyroid with out having to rely on very much medication. Prior to knowing about the foundation, Dr. Price’s studies, and prepared, whole, traditional foods, my daughter was severely under weight, deficient in Vit.’s A & E, as well as, deficient in iron. Her development was at a halt. At that same time, my thyroid was horribly under-functioning as well, so everyday with her felt like going to battle, a battle I already knew I was going to lose. We got lucky though, my daughter and I, because in our desperation I found the Weston A. Price Foundation. Shortly after the discovery, and changing our lifestyle to contain only prepared, traditional foods, my daughter and I were like new people! I CANNOT emphasize how much the foundation completely SAVED our lives! We would appreciate membership because we live in a rural, desert area, where it’s very difficult to access good food/ farms, and networking is even more difficult. My daughter and I are lower income because I am in school, so paying for membership at this time is not the easiest option. Free membership would be the absolute treat for us two! ^.^
Presently I drink in the knowledge of Weston A. Price and the wisdom of Sally Fallon Morell through Nourishing Traditions, the “baby book” and Nourishing Broths. These two people are my heros. I am so thankful to have found both of these people present and past. I would love to receive Nutrition and Physical Degeneration as well for Christmas. At present I am struggling with some serious imbalances and heavy metal toxicity and will be following the diet more closely. With this said, I will be undergoing Nutritional Balancing through a practioner who uses the principals of WAPF in her protocol for getting better. 3 square meals she says and a good amount of fat. I believe she is a member and chapter leader of the WAPF. It is my hope someday to also become a chapter leader in my area for we don’t have one at present. At present I drink raw milk, eat only pastured meat, buy only organic ( or organically raised), and eat lots of wonderful fat. I have all of the ferments as a regular part of my diet and enjoy teaching others too. Please consider me for your contest. I would so appreciate a membership
I would love to be a member!! I get all my info from your sites. I first started becoming concerned with diet and processed foods when I became pregnant with my 15 month old. Now I am pregnant with my son who has a congenital heart defect and am even more concerned with living a healthy lifestyle and eating well for my children’s futures. Thank you for all the educational info!!!
When my daughter was diagnosed with Crohns disease, about 3 years ago now, I began my search to healthier living. I attened a WAP meeting and was fascinated with the principals I learned there. So many new things to learn! Now that her diesease is in remission (Thank you, Lord!), I am eager to continue learning and changing the way we all eat!
I was introduced to the book Nourishing Traditions in 2007 as a student at IIN. But hadn’t paid much attention to it until I was pregnant last year. I realized my lazy diet of mainly raw, vegan foods was not serving me. Now as a mom with a 6.5 month old, I’m eager to incorporate your teachings and philosophy into our family lifestyle. In fact, just yesterday I gave my baby girl egg yolk :) I soak and dehydrate nuts and soak and sprout grains but focus on healthy fats and traditional foods!
In searching for dairy free recipes, I stumbled upon a comment on a recipe blog post recommending the GAPS Diet. I followed that lead and found a comment on a GAPS blog re: the Weston A. Price Foundation. My life is so different for the happenstance discovery.
My entire family, daughter and lacto-ovo vegetarian husband, both benefit from what I’ve learned from the Weston A. Price Foundation. Our health is better for the effort.
Nourishing Traditions brought me back from my vegetarian ways, which started a healing journey that continues. It has been less isolating to find a community of health conscious individuals striving to right the wrongs of a backward culture. The yahoo group has been a great source of info, connection and sharing that enriches my life every day. Mostly it has given me a framework rooted in sane, knowledgeable, reverent action that has helped me structure my life, and to make interconnections between previously disparate facets of the world.
Also, if I got this free membership I would give it to my friend who I think would be very helped by it but can’t afford it for herself and her family right now.
I am a student of Advanced Midwifery Studies through Carla Hartley’s Ancient Art of Midwifery Institute. I would use this membership to compile cutting edge nutrition information and better serve expectant mothers with their Prenatal Care!
This membership would also help me to better serve my son and husband, as we continue on our healing journey fueled by quality Nutrition Education!
WAPF changed my life by converting me from 10+ years of vegetarianism that wrecked havoc on my reproductive system, skin, weight (never was I obese, but never trim) and mental/emotional wellbeing.
I love this site. I’m constantly sending my patients here to learn about the dangers of soy, the appropriate pregnant and nursing diet, to read about raw formula, to read about raw milk etc. I also just hand out the site as a trusted site for information. My friends, family, and patients all report back as very happy when I send them there.
I would love to be a member! I actually had no idea there was such a thing as a membership and the perks sound great! I have visited the website lots and enjoy learning and sending info to others from it so I imagine it would be right up my alley. Thanks!
I am not a member yet, but I would love to be. I have learned so much from the Foundation regarding a natural and healthy lifestyle. I started this journey to live a whole food lifestyle when my husband and I decided to start a family. It really helped me prepare my body and life to carry our baby (I am 23 weeks). I am excited to follow these principle with a growing baby.
The foundation has changed my life by introducing me to the GAPS diet which most of my family is currently doing. I also attend the local meetings and learn a lot there as well as get a break from my duties as a homeschool SAHM. I’m also a member of a group on facebook for our local chapter and I have been able to use that to link up with other like minded people to make bulk purchases of healthy items for my family and to also get suggestions for healing my families ailments such as eczema. I also linked up with a local farm and purchased a cow share for weekly raw milk deliveries – all because of the networking done through my local chapter. I’m actually considering purchasing a membership just to give back and support such a great foundation.
Aime, thank you for this testimonial about what the Foundation has meant to you! This is an opportune time to become a member because of all of the bonus coupons offered!
I also read Nourishing Traditions years ago on the recommendation of a good friend, and I was intrigued by the principles it talked about. They made sense to me! I love cooking and was willing to take the time to try some of these new recipes: beet kvass, liver pate (different from chopped liver which I was familiar with from my cultural background), kombucha, and techniques such as soaking grains and nuts. I never looked back. I am now a firm believer in the dietary principles of Weston A. Price and when it feels appropriate, I am glad to talk to people about these principles and why I think they nourish good health. I am a member but glad to renew it every year.
I discovered the Weston A Price Foundation a decade ago when on my own journey for radiant health and introduced my wife to it more recently. It greatly influenced our pregnancy and the birth of our beautiful daughter. At 2-1/2 years old she has a broad face, perfect teeth, is good-natured and her favorite foods include raw milk, kefir, sauerkraut, liver pate, dried anchovies, veges with butter and cod liver oil. We are eternally grateful for the work of Dr. Price as well as that of the Foundation.
My husband and I tried to have a baby and came to realize, after 22 months without success, that we were infertile due to PCOS. It was only after I discovered the principles of Weston A. Price that I was finally able to reverse my PCOS and all the symptoms that go with it. We now have two healthy little girls that enjoy liver, fish eggs and fermented foods. If I win the membership, I would like to give it to a friend that also very much embraces these principles, but does not have a lot of extra money.
I am very new to this. My husband and I have 4 beautiful children andI have been searching for ways to improve our health, not just for now but for our whole lifetimes. I have so many family members who are dealing with health issues. Although most would consider us pretty healthy compared to everyone else we know I know that even greater health is out there. I would love to have more energy and get sick less. And though we may seem pretty healthy now, our health in 20, 40, 60 years from now is just as important to me. Everything I have been reading on this site just makes so much sense.
I have always been interested in food and how it is healing to eat well. I have made raw milk kefir for several years, and my latest experiments in fermenting vegetables have turned out to be favorites. My easy go-to salad and condiment of choice are Kimchi/karuts, a fine mix of raw turnip, beets, daikon, (you name it) with a little garlic, and a Serrano chile. Or the all too good fermented beet pickle. Nothing compares to this beautiful red juicy treat. Even buckwheat is better after soaking. I am a convert.
The WAP site has been a phenomenal tool, in addition to yours for my teaching clients and educating seminar attendees about the benefits of a healthy diet with supportive literature and research. I can point attendees and clients to both sites for further education and learning in addition to what I provide which to be honest in 2 hours barely scratches the surface. WAP and NOC are both invaluable to my clinic. Many thanks. also WAP will be hosting a seminar in Ireland next years for the first time I think; AWESOME!!
I have had membership to WAPF in the past and they really are very informative and ahead of the curve, the past really is the future! I discovered it through the book Nourishing Traditions 10 years ago. I’m current’y earning my Diploma in Holistic Nutrition and I believe being a member would be a huge benefit to my studies. Personally the foundation had a huge hand in turning me from a Vegan to a raw milk and liver eating, soy eschewing woman! Thanks for the opportunity to win.
I’ve finally started to come out of my state of depression/anxiety (origin PTSD). Now that I’m coming around my body/digestion/thyroid are in terrible shape, so this would be a fantastic opportunity to get my life – mentally and physically- back on the right track for a full recovery. I would love to educate myself on proper nutrition and think this would be a great benefit for me. Thank you so much for this opportunity.
The information on this site helped me realize how important it is to eat real food. Here, I discovered my farm, that I love. I couldn’t go back to my previous eating habits. I buy the most things I need from my farmer and when I go to the supermarket I can barely find something to buy. I love to learn new things about nutrition, so becoming a member would open new doors for me.
I found out about WAPF about two years ago. It led me to starting the GAPS diet for my son who had ADHD and ODD. His health has completely turned around. He is much more calm and able to focus, and he has started to put on weight where he was failure to thrive before. I have been able to use Dr. Price’s information to get rid of my brain fog, get more energy, and even heal some dental decay. Thank you for the opportunity to win a membership!
I have a son with Autism. After he was diagnosed, I started searching for ways to help him. I learned about Weston A. Price during one of my many Internet-searching-blog-reading sessions last year. We had cleaned up our diet as part of our path to healing, but learning about traditional foods and how to eat through the books and website was revealing. I actually started making bone broth and taking fermented cod liver oil! I also started making my own shampoos and cleaners to get rid of those toxic exposures. I would love to have a membership and be more involved. Autism is expensive. I just don’t have the money in my budget to join right now. Would love to win this membership, though!
I would love to win a membership. I have been following WAP for a while now, although I have been aware of the organization for many years I have just begun attending meeting at a local chapter, and I have learned so much and would be grateful to learn even more. Thank you!
WAPF has changed everything I thought I ever knew about food! Over the past few years, I have learned so much about nutrition and health. I’m so glad I discovered WAPF before becoming pregnant, and it helped guide our introduction of solids to our daughter. I’m now pregnant with our second child, and would love to become a member! I love knowing I have a source for finding new companies I can trust.
I came across WAPF when I gave birth to my son last year. Looking for alternatives to western medicines and nutrition, I found the amazing homemade formula recipes that I was urgently in need of in addition to breast milk. Over the last year I have followed and introduced ‘super foods’ to my son and bone broth as well. It’s amazing to see that he not only loves all the food, but has flourished both mentally and physically more then others his age, my pediatrician is amazed. I have also used allot of information to help me postpartum as well and feel great due to dietary changes the WAPF has recommended. It’s really the only source I trust regarding information these days!
I began looking for natural alternatives when my son developed asthma. After many months of research I came across the Weston Price Foundation and found it very interesting. I then purchased the Nourished Traditions books and began implementing the foods into our daily diets. My son’s respiratory problems are gone and now that I’m thinking of having another child I truly believe in this lifestyle.
My toddler has had eczema since infancy. Since then I’ve searched all over the internet looking for ideas on how to treat his skin holistically. I stumbled upon the Healthy Home Economist where Sarah Pope’s ideas really resonated with me. Now we are on the GAPS diet and are firm believers of supporting local, sustainable, and responsible farmers. I would love to be part of the Weston Price Foundation. Thank you.
The Weston A Price Foundation changed my whole outlook on food and health after years of being fed the wrong information. It was Sally Fallon’s ‘Nourishing Traditional Diets’ video that started my journey of rediscovery about food and health 2 years ago, which culminated in me leaving my corporate job last year and go back to school to study to become a Naturopathic Nutritionist. Also, after years of trying to conceive and many heartbreaking miscarriages, I am finally pregnant and due to meet my little girl in 6 weeks time!
I’ve been vegan, I’ve been vegetarian, I’ve been raw, but I’ve never been as healthy as I am now since switching to a WAP diet! We’re hoping to start a family in the upcoming year and we’ve been doing our best to eat well and lay the best foundation for that. I’d love to be a member help maintain my enthusiasm, connect with other like minded people and be up to date on all the latest. Thank you!
I am would love to me a member. I have been following Weston A. Price Foundation on facebook and learned about them when I had my son (now 6). My families health is my number one job and I enjoy cooking nutritionally dense foods. I am also a Physician Assistant and try to guide the food choices of the latino community clinic where I work. I know healing comes from what we eat.
The Foundation has positively impacted your life by allowing me to appreciate traditional cuisine whereas many nutritional experts declare it as obsolete. I’ve been able to appreciate my heritage through food and respect the contributions of thousands of years of story and health tradition that I would very arrogantly neglect due to misinformation by experts for the moment. I would love to become a member to be able to more actively participate in the magazine articles and health discussion. I most appreciate the raw milk.
The Foundation helped me in my search for the optimal health. As a European living in the US now, and having studied and tried many diets I finally had to give up with a smile and realize, my grandma, and especially great-grandma, who lived and raised 7 children on a family farm did it all right. I always loved hanging out with my grandma in the kitchen, starting as a little girl. I talked to her always about food and towards the end of her life (she passed at 98) especially about her childhood and eating habits. Thanks to this foundation I have two healthy sons who were blessed to be fed raw milk formula when I didn’t have enough breast milk. I learnt how to prepare healthy and nutritious foods and also how to source quality ingredients thanks to a wonderful community. I am studying to become a health coach and am motivating and encouraging others to take charge of their lives and make better health choices.
I am so thankful for the Weston A Price Foundation and for my brave friend who spoke up and told me about them. In an attempt to be healthy years ago I would cut calories, eat low fat processed dairy, and avoid meat. Over the past 9 years the Weston A Price foundation has given me a roadmap for true nutrition and has enabled me to clear up many heal ailments I really didn’t even realize I had and it helped me heal my son who was 1 year old and failing to thrive. Thanks to the nourishing wisdom I am much healthier and my son is too.
I was introduced to Weston A. Price by Joette Calabrese! It has helped form the firm foundation of health for my children with Cystic Fibrosis. Would love to learn more to give my children even BETTER health!
The Weston A. Price Foundation has positively impacted my life in two ways. First, as an invaluable resource for how to eat real food. The website is amazing, and the articles linked on the Facebook pages for WAPF and NOC are always great reads. I know that I can refer someone to WAPF as the highest quality diet and nutrition resource. The other way it has impacted me is through the huge community of WAPF supporters/members/followers out there. It is inspiring to know that there is a huge community of people who are aware of the problems with the SAD and who are trying to embrace a traditional way of preparing foods. I have met local members and have connected on social media with others through the hashtag #WAPF. I would be grateful for a membership and eager to get my hands on the Wise Traditions Journal and the Shopping Guide as well. It would be a real joy to be chosen for the membership. Thank you for the opportunity as well as all the hard work you do educating others. The only way we can make big changes is to spread the word!
Until I was introduced to the Western A Price last year by Ella McElwee and my dear friend Shari Donalson through Sally Fallon’s famous cookbook, eating was just something we did. We are missionaries in a foreign country, and my husband’s Type 2 diabetes was not under control; neither was my knowledge of what we both needed for optimal health. We are in our 70’s, and WAP has changed our lives–Sally launched me into a continual quest to know all I can about our God-given bodies, and what makes them work properly. I cannot thank you enough for opening my eyes and saving my husband’s life, as well as changing my health to tip-top! My doctor is so amazed and proud! I would love that free membership, btw!
My husband and I recently changed our eating and lifestyle. Weston A Price Foundation has been an invaluable resource. Would love to be a member.
I was a vegetarian for 10 years, my husband 5. We both have joint problems. I came across the information that the WAP foundation has to offer and am learning so much. We’ve started eating more broth, meat, raw dairy, fermented cod liver and butter. Along with improvement in our joints, we also have more color in our faces. I’d love to be a member to learn more and get even healthier. Thank you.
I LOVE the Weston Price Foundation! Several years ago, my children were dealing with chronic strep infections and we were looking at tonsillectomies for them. My mother introduced me to the GAPS diet, and from there I learned about WAPF. We stopped eating the standard American diet, and the strep went right away (no surgery needed!). My family has been enjoying a diet of grass-fed meat, pastured eggs, raw milk, cod liver oil, fresh fruits and vegetables, fermented foods like homemade yogurt and sauerkraut, bone broth, sprouted whole grains, unrefined sweeteners, coconut oil, and lots and lots of butter ever since!
I was introduced to the Weston A Price Foundation by a friend. I grew up eating more traditional foods and watched my grand mother cook traditional foods. I never bought into the typical American diet. WAPF helped me get back to the old ways. It is nice to find that my gut instincts and Grand mother’s teachings were correct. I love having the support and learning new things.
I found the Weston A Price Foundation website while searching the internet for a health complaint. I spend days reading all the articles and commentary. I’d never had anyone teach me to cook anything other then the quickest meals from packaged foods. I’d never heard of bone broth and eating traditionally was a whole new idea. I’d love the opportunity to be a member!
My naturopath recommended I read the book “Deep Nutrition” when I came in asking about fertility and how to prepare my body. The book opened my mind to so many new ideas and changed so many of my beliefs. I made massive changes based on the book’s sharing of the story of Weston A. Price and the known science and evidence behind WAPF principles. I was always an avid cook, but got really into making my own lacto-ferments, tracking down the most nourishing foods, and cooking from Nourishing Traditions. I’m still on my path to motherhood, but way more confident about my ability to be a wonderfully nourishing mother and to heal well and age well. :)
Thanks to this foundation I was able to supplement with the raw milk formula and my baby thrived from it. I have not had a great supply with either child but I am praying things will be different for this next baby. I am so thankful we found the information on cod liver oil from WAPF as well, we take Green Pastures FCLO daily, the whole family. I am blessed beyond words to have found the WAPF way of life (Nourishing Traditions book/recipes) upon moving here to Portland from NM. I would love to receive a FREE membership and take part in more that the WAPF has to offer. If I could afford a membership every year I would.
The Weston A Price Foundation has been the saving grace for our family and especially for my son with autism. Looking past the autism, he also has a complete food aversion. He chooses to not eat food as most people know food. I was blessed to be introduced to raw milk early on in his diagnosis. I did much research through the Weston A Price Foundation and realized the healing properties of using raw milk, which is a complete food. He is now 18 and has grown up to be a tall and healthy young man on a raw milk diet. Whenever I tell the story to people that he has been raised on raw milk, they truly can’t comprehend.
I continue to try and educate others on using Weston A Price teachings. The resources are a wealth of knowledge in keeping families aligned with healthy eating and diet foundations, that are easily incorporated into everyday eating. Along with staying healthy and not falling into the western medicine model of getting lured into a constant cycle of needing prescriptions/drugs to keep us healthy.
The Weston A. Price Foundation had completely influenced our family’s eating and lifestyle habits! I’m constantly following Weston A Price bloggers and websites for nutritional information. My daughter has alopecia and my husband type one diabetes. Both have healed dramatically since following a traditional foods diet. We will never go back to our old way of eating again! Our whole quality oflife has been changed for the better! Thank you!
I love W.A.P.F.’s recommendations, articles, and down-to-earth advice on topics that often aren’t clear-cut. They provide level-headed research and practical advice, as well as tips on how to live and substitute harmful products and foods for “good,” “better,” and “best” ones (via the ever helpful shopping guide). They are a voice of eminent reason in a world full of noisy irrational thinking (largely based on corporate advertising and toxic living while people think they are “just fine”). I am very grateful for WAPF’s contribution to society, individual health, and the planet as a whole.
I found this website completely by accident and its changed the way I view food. I used to eat whatever I wanted including lots of processed foods. Now I’m so happy I can feel good about everything I’m feeding my little girls. This website and Nourishing Traditions is my resource for everything. I’m also grateful for other members to have a support group.
The WAPF has changed my life. I stopped being vegan once I read and listened to the information both from my body and the foundation itself. I learned not to fear cholesterol and to eat REAL FOOD! Everything is clearly put out on the table and in plain view. When the rest of the world is on a fad diet that they will not stick with or on the newest craze to lose weight. I don’t have to do either because I can eat real food and understand that this is the best this for my body. I often am always referring people to the WAPF I currently wish I was a member but am NOT due to financial issues. I am always helping in whatever way is possible Good Search and Amazon Smile.
The works of Weston Price have made me aware of the dangers of amalgam dentistry. After I became aware of the dangers of amalgam I was better informed to self advocate and avoid a recommended ( and what turned out to be an unnecessary) root canal. The information also prompted me to seek out a different dentist who practices holistic dentistry. That dentist successfully removed ALL of my amalgam fillings. Combined with a few other healthy choices and life events I am now free from fibromyalgia and EXTREMELY healthy. I continue to learn from the Weston Price Foundation other things to keep my body healthy.
Thank you, great post, but I can’t find information on the “registered nurse on call to answer baby questions” on the Weston Price website. Could you provide more information on that please?
Hi Liza, please call the Foundation to inquire. http://www.westonaprice.org/contact-us/
Will do. Thank you for the quick reply :)
