Following is an unsolicited testimonial about The Nourishing Traditions Cookbook for Children from our community member Rebekah Woolley. You can read my own review of the book as well, that includes several of the recipes! I shared Rebekah’s words and photo with Sally Fallon Morell and Suzanne Gross, the authors to the book, and they provided me with the recipe highlighted below!

“This morning my 4 oldest children (aged 12, 9, 7 and 4) felt up to a breakfast project and made the Mexican Scrambled Eggs in The Nourishing Traditions Cookbook for Children (a gift from my sister Janeen Hartwig) while I was nursing my youngest in bed. They can fry their own eggs and help me a lot with meals and cooking but this was definitely their most ambitious solo project yet (as a group). I felt when they asked if they could do it, though, that with the cookbook they would have the knowledge they needed without me there. They all helped and it was beyond delicious! I adore this cookbook and love that they are getting to an age where they can use it without my help.”

I highly recommend this book as a way by which to teach your children to cook!
