Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has. – Margaret Mead
The Weston A. Price Foundation, from my perspective, has already changed the world. It has certainly changed my world and tens of thousands who are members of our Facebook groups and pages. This is how I eat butter now, as pictured above on my kitchen island a few days ago. When I was a vegetarian, and at times vegan, I consumed imitation butter, generally made of soy. I was not at all well during that period of my life. I now spread grass-fed butter on bread so thick that it leaves teeth marks when I take a bite. We recommend folks enjoy a little traditionally fermented sourdough bread with their butter. Learn about why butter is better, from the Weston A. Price Foundation, who maintains the most visited alternative nutrition website online. I have become much more emotionally stable, and grounded since following the Foundation’s dietary recommendations, and I credit my liberal use of butter in part for that positive change!
The Weston A. Price Foundation is member-supported. I like to describe the Foundation as a community supported cause. Without our support, they simply can’t continue to change the world. That’s why they’ve launched a membership drive this month to encourage more of us to contribute. Nourishing Our Children, which I founded in 2005, is a project of the Weston A. Price Foundation. If you follow either of us on Facebook, or read our articles, this is the time to ensure they have the funds to continue to offer nutrition education. This is about mutuality. Please support the organization that supports you. Note that the president Sally Fallon Morell doesn’t draw a salary and neither do I. Your membership dollars pay for operational costs and projects such as the free weekly podcast series.
One of the benefits of membership is the yearly shopping guide. Sally Fallon Morell points out that although the Foundation is small and obscure, it has had an enormous influence on recent food trends. Let us take a look at the shopping guide evolution to get a sense of the Foundation’s influence in the marketplace:
Category | Number of companies we found selling this item | |
In 2003 | In 2017 | |
Coconut products | 0 | 84 |
Bone broth and soups | 0 | 30 |
Lactofermented foods | 7 | 51 |
Lactofermented drinks | 11 | 59 |
Healthy condiments | 8 | 82 |
Nuts | 0 | 118 |
Healthy fats and oils | 7 | 250 |
Natural sweeteners | 9 | 203 |
Eggs | 2 | 30 |
Butter | 7 | 21 |
Bread | 15 | 34 |
Cheese | 14 | 76 |
Along those lines, Sally highlights the influence the Foundation has had on raw milk:
Take raw milk: when the Foundation set up the realmilk.com website, we could find only 37 sources in the whole U.S. Today there are well over 2000 listed, and many more not listed there. Raw milk consumption has grown, and raw milk has become more available, largely thanks to the efforts of the Weston A. Price Foundation—not only by helping people find raw milk through realmilk.com, but also deciphering the science to show you the health benefits and superlative safety of Nature’s perfect food.
Another way to look at it: when the Foundation was established in 1999, raw milk was available in 27 states and it is now available in 42. Let’s ensure it is available in all 50. Join us.
Join us today and receive a bonus.
Throughout March the Foundation is offering membership at a discount: $30 (instead of $40) for regular membership and $40 (instead of $50) for international membership. If you are already a member, they will extend your membership one year for free if you will help sign up two new members. If you join as a result of this post, between March 16 through the end of the end of the month, forward me your email membership receipt before the membership drive ends, and I’ll email you links to download a bundle of several of our educational materials complimentary.

When struggling with my fertility, I came across the works and philosophies of Weston Price, and with extensive dietary changes, a few cleanses, and thenaddition of raw milk and bee products, I was finally able to start regulating my body and conceive. While I cheat and splurge here and there, I have worked to raise my daughter on healthy food, rich in nutrients and health, and she is thriving; this is all thanks to his research and the encouragement of the online community.
I hope to recieve a membership so I can see what it is all about, first hand. With the coming new baby, we are doing our best to keep ahead of the game by cutting down extra spending and, unfortunately, memberships fall under the extra spending category.
I appreciate the Weston Price foundation because of all of its work and effort in providing resources for nutritional and wellness purposes to the masses, despite all of the road blocks and red tape afforded to those who do so. Keep it up!
I would like to be a member to learn more. My husband and children are my life. I want to give them the best nutrition possible, so they can thrive physically. I’d like to have guidance. Recipes can help too. Either way thank you! I love your page and information.
1 Becoming a Weston a Price food junkie has been a journey but it is so worth it. Wapf food recommendations represent freedom for me.
2 I hope to become a member to continue to learn all I can about real food.
3. Because it provides me with tools to eat a real food diet.
My husband’s side of the family has various inflammatory disorders. When I got into graduate school and was doing my masters degree in biochemistry I was working in a lab that focused on inflammatory diseases in children- asthma, sinusitis, cystic fibrosis, chronic otitis media. It opened up my eyes to how many children suffer from so much inflammation. My husband is an asthma sufferer himself. My husband and I ended up doing a lot of research about 5 years ago, we learned of the thousands of “flawed” and biased studies that were related to nutrition and could not believe it, especially as scientists ourselves. Most of us have been “taught” a certain way and certain principles have been ingrained in us- low fat, lots of grains etc. We quickly changed our way of life and diets. My husband saw a dramatic improvement in his asthma…it was so clear to us.
We hope to receive the membership because we now have a 6 month old little boy and I would like to have access to as much information and resources as we possibly can, especially as we have more children. We do already know a great deal but I think in order to continue this way of life and pass it on to oue children, it will help us know we have a strong support system motivating us along the way like Weston A Price. Much of our extended family thinks we are crazy and laughs at us all the time. I would NEVER go back to the way of life before, Weston A Price membership or not, but having a strong community that is on the same page as us, I believe, will be very helpful in raising my children, especially in such a society full of “junk”.
We appreciate the Weston A Price foundation because they want to make life the best that it can be with what we have available to us on this earth.
Is that something that would made your DiL thinking?

My experience with these dietary recommendations has been extremely positive. My weight has stabilized no matter what my exercise regime is at the time, I was able to get pregnant and have a very healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. Breastfeeding and my milk supply has benefitted. My inflammation has decreased and I have more energy throughout the day.
I would love a membership (we can’t afford one otherwise at this time) so I can utilize the resources in my areas that allow my family and I to live this lifestyle and to deepen my connection to this community and gain knowledge from folks leading the way to health. I have a 1 year old son that I want to continue to nourish and I know having a membership would support and keep me inspired when it feels hard to maintain our diet.
I appreciate the WAPF because of the work it does to make real food like raw milk accesible.
I appreciate the WAPF because they go against the grain and recommend a diet that is truly what our bodies were designed to thrive on. Since eating a whole foods, properly prepared, nutrient dense diet, I’ve found that I feel more satisfied from meals with balanced blood sugar throughout the day. I can also testify that fat doesn’t make you fat now (which I was in fear of for a number of years)! I would really appreciate a complementary membership so I can continue to grow in my knowledge of what and how food fuels our bodies. I also would love to share more information with others as so many of us are misguided and don’t know what is actually healthy anymore. I’m thankful for the revelation of real food through this foundation. It has made such a difference for my family and I feel closer to God’s wonderful creation eating is such a natural and ancestral way.
Eating a WAPF traditional foods diet has been life changing for us. We firmly believe it’s one of the main reasons my wife’s mental illness is now manageable. It has also been instrumental in helping us conceive and grow a robustly healthy daughter who loves real food and is a great eater. Although we do follow the WAPF dietary recommendations as closely as we can, I know I still have a lot to learn and would love to have access to the educational materials a membership provides!
I have had a life changing experience since following these dietary guidelines! I am healthier as a whole and so is my family! I hope to recieve a membership because we are a one income traditional family as I stay home to teach and raise my children. It would be such a blessing as we don’t often have the funds for memberships and I would be greatful for the opportunity to be apart of something great!. We are SO thankful for the WP foundation because it is a trusted source of information in an uncertain world! We look up to you for good health information amazing articles and the truth of what’s actually good for us! Because of you we are Raw milk drinkers and more. We are strong.. And healthy and so blessed to have found you!
I would love to have access to raw milk and dairy products where I live. Access to organic products is also too limited. I’d like Canadians all across the country to have access to quality dairy products. The news recently reported that “Canadian butter really sucks” because a researcher tested it and said it’s the worst compared to many other countries, being too high in omega 6 fatty acid. He said it’s because cattle on most commercial Canadian dairy farms are fed improperly, not on grass. It’s also not good for their health or welfare.
1. Wapf has helped me in many ways but in particular I m no longer afraid of fat.
2. I want to learn more and better my knowledge and get more involved.
3. …because I get no BS sound nutritional information that I can trust. Truthfully I might not agree 100% all the time, and I think that’s okay. That type of modality caused me to be a sick vegan. WAPF is a wonderful cause that just makes sense. Even 100 years ago we ate vastly different and it shows, simply picking up a recipe book from the late 1800s is a history lesson. You read about lard, butter, and heavy cream and you think how the hell did they not all die at age 25 right? I appreciate WAPF because they’re trying to help people, period.
I love your comment. I have been a leadership position with this organization since 2004, and I also don’t agree 100% of the time, but there is no organization or human being that I could expect that of.
I’m so thrilled you enjoyed it :) Also I was gleefully shocked to see it posted. That really made my night! <3
I’m curious to see what membership has to offer. The knowledge that you spread feels right because it goes back to prior generations way of living. When I came to the US of A, I was such a fit and healthy young person. I gained 30 lbs within 3 months by eating lots of cereal, puddings and sandwiches. I was a student and was introduced to American kitchen by the host family. Didn’t feel that I was eating extras but I was hungry all the time too. Everyone in my family was shocked when they saw my pictures. My parents asked me what I was eating and I couldn’t answer. I started reading ingredients and often they didn’t make sense. I read somewhere eventually that if you can’t read it or know what it is.. don’t consume it. Easy I thought but the joke was on me. Now I cook home for my family of 4. It’s hard to keep it clean and there are so many temptations. I have to stay home to be able to care for them and build their immune systems. Thanks!
I am a Holistic Nutritionist and I learned of the Weston A Price Foundation through my studies. I often refer to WAPF for resources for my family and my clients. I can always count on up to date and relevant information that is easily implemented with great benefit.
I frequently refer new parents for reliable information for starting baby off right.
My mission and passion is to share this information with as many people as possible to help them to achieve better health.
I truly appreciate the work of WAPF for making this informatiin available and it has been instrumental in improving my health and the health of so many. Sound principles for a healthy and joyful life!
Thank you :)
My experience has been life-changing with the dietary recommendations. I have healed almost all my health conditions just with the Weston Price diet with the exception of PCOS, but it has improved. I had no energy in my early twenties and thought that was a part of life when I started changing my diet. However, my energy started improving vastly over the next few months and my previous health issues became a part of the past. I know I have found the right eating philosophy because it makes so much sense. It has not only helped me, but many of my family members and friends. I am so grateful.
I hope to receive the renewal because I am quitting my job this year after I have my baby next month. We will be left with just my husband’s income. I still want to be a Weston Price member, but receiving the renewal would help us out greatly.
I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because my life has never been the same since I started implementing the dietary and lifestyle principles. I feel the healthiest I have ever felt and it has completely changed my perspective and mindset about what is healthy. It has helped me to question everything and now I am able to make intelligent choices about my lifestyle and eating habits.
I appreciate the Weston Price Foundation for all the education it provides to all of us! I appreciate its advocacy for bringing healthy children into this world and keeping them healthy so that they can fulfill their lives’ purpose. I appreciate that I have lived a healthier and more fulfilled life due to having access to this information. I appreciate the vast resourcefulness of the foundation. And lasty, I appreciate the diversity of topics being researched and given attention to. The foundation inspires me deeply and hence I would be absolutely thrilled to br awarded a free membership! With gratitude, respect and appreciation!
I appreciate the WAPF because over the years it has been the foundation upon which my husband and I have built a healthier lifestyle for our three children. We have had to adjust for financial reasons, the extent to which we adopt this lifestyle, but it is what works for us and we realize that although we may be constricted now, we will not always be–there is room to grow. There is also, always, room for continued learning. We see the benefits of creating healthy well-balanced meals at home; we have reaped the health benefits, immeasurably. And the greatest thing? We know that our children will grow up to be adults who are not only mindful of what they put into their bodies, but they will also be great teachers to the generations that come up after them. They will have the knowledge and the courage to help others understand the importance of traditional food and healthy living. In a perfect world, they will be able to sustain themselves and their families by growing, raising their own food. In a perfect world, they will be able to live without strict dependence on modern medicine and grocery stores. WAPF has made this an attainable goal not only for my children, but for myself as well. Thanks!
My experience with WP is an experience that I am SO thankful for! I have children with food allergies and intolerances, I have a child who is a leukemia survivor, and I have several autoimmune issues myself. When our son was diagnosed with leukemia, I got online determined to find any and every way to help him get healthy AND prevent my other 7 children from getting it. I found the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I attended, graduated, and along the way, heard Sally speak. It was an answer to prayer! MUCH prayer!!
For me, the membership will give me additional opportunities to learn and educate my family and others. I believe it will help me and my family in the journey of good health with food, not medicine.
I greatly appreciate the WAPF because of all of the time and energy they put in, sharing/educating me and others, and making our world healthier for our children’s future.
I’m a fairly new Mom and just found out that I didn’t know anything about nutrition (other than eating lots of vegetable and fruits and NO FAT)
I learned about WAPF when I found nourished Children group on Facebook.
Clearly, I was not raised in this diet and I would like to learn more so my young kid (myself and husband) would receive the best nutrition to allow him be the best he can be.
Now I’m not afraid of fat, butter (as long as I have the right fat and butter) and raw milk!
I hope to receive WAPF membership to continue learning (I want to know more!) about this diet guideline for our better health.
I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because all of the research and effort in providing the wellness information.
I have had a toothache for three months and I have been trying to save the tooth that has a small cavity in it. My dentist recommended that I try some alternative methods since the first dentist I saw immediately recommended a root canal. My late husband was very interested in promoting REAL health and had Dr. Price’s book and other books on the danger of root canals, as well as many other health books. I have been following the WAPF diet for about 6 weeks. I am taking cod liver/butter oil, making bone broth, and eating lots of fermented vegetables. My tooth is slowly getting better! I have other health problems which are improving since following the diet. I am feeling better with more energy. I would very much like the free membership since I am a widow on a fixed income. I appreciate the WAPF because for many years I have thought the American Public is being deceived about what is a healthy diet. And I especially believe in Dr. Price’s advice to think positive thoughts and PRACTICE FORGIVENESS.
I appreciate the Weston A Price foundation because it has taught me how to take back control of my own health and the health of my family. It has taught me so much about what good food is and how to prepare it properly. It has helped me to discern the politics of food and drugs in our culture. It has encouraged me to garden and shop more wisely. It has opened up to me a whole new world of friends that care about their health and families in the same way that I do.
I would like to win a membership as a way to continue my growth on our family’s food journey. I have personally become obsessed with real, traditional foods after having to read labels due to a life-threatening food allergy in our home. It is honestly SO difficult to eat right all the time (though my mission has proved possible) and I want to be a light to my friends and community who are ignorant to what it means to eat “healthy” foods. I appreciate the WAPF because you have already done the hard part by providing resources and access to this wisdom found in eating a traditional diet. Thank you
I hope to receive the membership to continue learning about a better way to feed my family. I hope my son can lead a healthy life and that my husband can get over some of his health problems with a better diet. We are changing baby-step by baby-step. I’d also like to learn enough to help educate other mother’s in my community that suffer when their kids are unhealthy but don’t know how to fix the real problems. I’m grateful that information is available to help curb the tide of media aimed at mothers and kids about what to eat and what is healthy that is just marketing for profit.
I am very encouraged by Weston Price’s diet recommendations… very practical and teaching us how to take care of ourselves through diet! I didn’t realize how well I could take care of my own teeth just through diet and reduce the need for expensive dental care! No need for popping pills or expensive treatments… I really hope to receive the membership because I am on a very tight budget and I would like to continue to expand my knowledge. I appreciate Weston A. Price Foundation because they continue to conduct research, educate the public and challenge the status quo!!
Since following the WAPF’s recommendations, I have experienced a huge improvement in the allergy problem that I was having. Normally, the majority of the time, I was sneezing, wheezing, had a runny nose, itchy eyes, and headache. Now, I rarely ever get sick like this any more. I can’t tell you what a relief it is to feel well again! I have been looking into becoming a member for a while now. I’d like to spread the word to the people in the area I live in. In Wisconsin, it seems like people are really uninformed about proper nutrition (raw milk is not legal to buy here).
I was told about Nourishing Traditions/WAPF several years ago by a friend, and I have never looked back. I always knew intuitively that the “traditional” way of doing things must be right, but I never knew how to find out what the traditional ways were. I dove in head-first and began making my own bone broth, kefir, sauerkraut and lots of other things, as well as incorporating organ meats and other nourishing foods into my diet, while eliminating processed food. The change was not immediate, but after about a year, my body went back to my “normal body” (about the size I’ve always been, in college up, but had lost after 2 difficult pregnancies that wrecked my hormones) almost over night. My hormones rebalanced, my skin looked bright and fresh, I slimmed down, and I felt great, with so much energy! I tell everyone I can about these principles and these resources, and some have listened! I think it’s important to spread this information wide to help as many people as possible.
1. What has your experience been of these dietary recommendations?
-I have been learning about and slowly implementing the WAPF dietary recommendation for the past two years. One of the biggest differences for my husband and I has been the noticeable increase in energy from eating liver, and improved digestion from switching to homemade fermented sourdough and kefir. We love the changes!
2. Why do you hope to receive the membership/renewal?
– I hope to receive the membership because I currently do not have the extra money in my budget to join. My husband and I are currently students at Texas A&M, so it’s challenging to find the extra money to spend on the “grass fed, fresh, or raw” options. We have decided together that it is important to us that any extra bit of finances goes into purchasing healthier food options.
I would love to gain the extra info and recourses made available to me through a WAPF membership.
It would be a huge blessing!
3. I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because they are sincere in helping families learn how to live a healthier life.
Weston A Price has been a beacon in a dark world of deception. When I first became a mom I realized that I couldn’t depend on the system to teach and guide me to truth. It was in my journey of motherhood and in wanting to do the best for my family that I looked for a voice of reason and sense. I always loved nutrition and wanted to be healthy but I recognized there was another layer than what they were teaching even in the universities and at the doctors office. My husband and I made a 180 degree turn when we were introduced to raw milk through your site. Because of what I had been taught, I was skeptical. I even talked to many people at the farm as they came out with their purchases sure I would find people with extra limbs growing. I had been brainwashed to think that raw milk was bad and yet when I finally took the plunge I realized the opposite was true. The pasteurized milk my son had been drinking was the cause of all his bloating and colic. He healed right up after that. It was one decision T a time and one nourishing class at a time through our local chapter. One book at a time through recommended readings and now I am a new person and my family is healthy and educated and free of the systems chains. I am now an advocate and teach people on my YouTube station how to transform their lives and families through common sense and with the help of your foundation. I can’t tell you how many times I have referred your website out. One of the goals my husband and I had when we got settled after relocating up north was to become members and find a local chapter. I would love to have a free membership so I can use my funds to promote the materials in another avenue. This is a message that needs to be heard. Thank you for being a strong voice. A voice of wisdom. To me, you have been a mother and a grandmother passing on the torch to me as they used to do in times past -what my heart longs to be for my children. Thank you. Keep up the good work. There are still many like me out there who have not heard the truth. Thank you!
I started off giving little thought to organic foods and the like, but after working as a nurse a for a couple of years I began to doubt many things and to look for alternatives. I am now about to graduate Chiropractic college and I have a very holistic approach which includes helping my patients eat an ancestral diet. I have been eating this way for awhile now and the results have been great. The biggest being I no longer have migraines. I hope to receive a renewal because being a student and soon to be graduate money is hard to come by and any little bit helps. The Weston A. Price foundation provides great information that is very helpful for me and soon to be for my practice as well. I appreciate them because they continue to ask why and try to look upstream for root causes.
I would love to learn more about WAPF . We are starting to understand more about healthy eating and trying to reverse many issues in our family’s health. It would be great to have the research to learn and educate us to improve our health! Thank you!
I appreciate Weston A Price because it helped me understand how to properly nourish and sustain health in my body through my first pregnancy! I just had my daughter and learning the proper foods my body needs in order to support breastfeeding has truly changed the way I eat and I feel SO much better for it. I know I am giving my daughter the nourishment she needs through my health. I am looking forward to giving her her first foods according to this way of eating :)
I appreciate the WAPF because they seek to distribute cures to the woes of modern health, not bandages. They are not seeking to make a buck off of their information and research. A society reversed of so many consequences of our ignorance is it’s mission. What a beautiful thing! Being one who has been a product of that mission, I hope to see more and more people transformed by their work.
When I heard of Weston Price and the great work he did and how it impacted health, I immediately started changing the way my family ate. It is still a work in progress, but we have healed so many health issues with this lifestyle. We will never go back to eating the way we used to. Being a single mom of 2 and limited income, I would love to win a membership, which would further educate me on the benefits of traditional foods. I pass on that knowledge to others when they are open and willing to listen. I appreciate the work of the WP Foundation. They have been instrumental in bringing awareness to and educating people on the benefits of traditional nourishing foods as well as working for farmers, helping the raw milk issue, as well as the dangers of soy. I love their articles in the newsletters and appreciate them posting them online for those of us not able to afford a membership. Thank you for all you do.
1. What has your experience been of these dietary recommendations?
I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in 2013. I believe my ability to conceive was directly related to changes in my diet after reading “Nourishing Traditions”.
2. Why do you hope to receive the membership/renewal?
I hope to educate myself further with the magazine and other member material sent out.
3. Fill in the blank. I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because their food philosophy helped me reverse fertility hormone imbalances after many years damaging them with a soy based vegan diet.
My family has been following the Weston Price way of eating for about 5 1/2 years. When my oldest daughter was a baby, we were eating fairly cleanly, but stumbled across the work of Dr. Price and implemented new changes. Our two kids have thrived, and I attribute it to the nutrient-dense diet they get.
Although my family has been following the WPF for quite a few years, we have only been members for a year. Mostly that’s due to having other financial priorities (paying off student loans and buying good food), but it’s wonderful having the cutting edge information from the WPF journals available.
I appreciate the Weston Price Foundation because it has given me the information and tools to raise a healthy, vibrant family.
I was once a member of the Weston A Price Foundation back in 2003 I believe. We started the diet recommendations for our son and he recovered from autism completely within a 10-year period. But he actually regained speech within the first year. I now help other families do what I did and I really hope to receive this free membership so that I have access to the information I once had. I appreciate the Weston A price foundation because you gave me my son back.
I ask sincerely – why did you choose not to continue to support the Foundation with your membership?
My experience with these dietary changes have been life changing! I had been suffering from severe stomach pain, I would be in the fetal position almost every time I ate. I finally started to read Nurishing Traditions, a ghost from a friend. We starting making bone broth, soaking or grains eating clean meat, removing all cereals ect. The difference it made it not only my pain but the health of my family was unbelievable! We no longer had any bloating, problems with gas or anything. We have continued our journey with this way of eating, along with adding fermented codliver oil, these 2 1/2 years and it has been the main thing that has helped me restore my health. I cannot say enough about this foundation, they have been such a blessing and a great resource to us!
Dr. Price is effectively a genius. Well up there with Dr. John Tilden, Dr. Herbert Shelton, Antoine Bechamp and a few others.
Price’s work into the diets of tribal groups of people opened the pandora’s box of alternative thinking towards health. A revolutionary pioneer who dared to ask the obvious questions others ignore (for obvious reasons) – WHY precisely are tribal groups healthier and why are so-called “civilized” persons experiencing disease symptoms?
This seemingly simple yet profound approach opened my eyes to diet at a time when I was suffering from inflammatory disease and malnutrition (avitaminosis).
It is a fact that everything this man says is the truth. You can eat ethically, but it ignores your own physiology and lends itself towards individual suffering.
Price was far ahead of his time and if more people would read his work, it would destroy the corruption in the fields of medicine as well as dentistry.
If we are all to live healthily, happily, and in harmony I think it best to adopt this man’s fundamental dietary principles for everyone, everywhere regardless of personal preference.
I had someone (I’m assuming vegan) tell me recently that “tofu is basically cheese” – I believe Weston A. Price turned over in his grave after that!
My experience with WAPF is that it is loosely how I eat. But mostly when I had to give my baby formula, I knew the only one I would use is the WAPF homemade formula. It was the only one I could feel good about. I am hoping to get more support through this journey as a member of the foundation Bc right now I feel like I’m navigating uncharted waters.
I truly appreciate the foundation as it offers this alternative for mom’s and beyond that, a sensible way to eat!
These dietary recommendations have been a breath of fresh air and a reminder of all my Mom & Dad did right for us.
I would give the Memberships to two needy families. I believe these families would gain inormosely from the memberships.
I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because it educates and has so many resources like RealMilk.com. Sending inquiries to the website has always been a gift for me.
I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because it puts a value on REAL food and encourages people to eat the way people used to eat before food started to be produced in factories. I’ve been following WAPF advices for almost 10 years now. I even used WAPF baby formula recipe to make formula for my kid when I ran out of breastmilk. And my kids just love fish oil and think FCLO capsules are the best thing ever. My family has never been healthier, in fact I can’t remember what our doctors looks like anymore.
I was introduced to WAP when I started trying to heal my daughter’s cavities. We have subsequently learned that we have more root cause health challenges that we are trying to heal. A membership would afford me the opportunity to deepen my understanding of the Weston A Price lifestyle so I can continue to better nourish my family. We have since purchased dairy goats that will kid in May so I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because it has taught me so much about traditional nourishing foods, including raw milk products.
I have been curious about membership in WAPF. I first learned about it through the Cure Tooth Decay book. Since then I have tried to incorporate some aspects of the approach into our lives, but when my family isn’t on board with it there is a lot of struggle. It is also hard finding time for everything with little kids. But I would like to do more and learn more and membership could be a catalyst toward connecting with more people who are thinking that way and could teach me more of how to do traditional foods cooking. Thank you for the possibility!
Since adopting the WAP dietary recommendations my mind is so much more focused and I enjoy eating!
Last week I was in a hospital visiting a friend. The hospital tuck shop sold nothing that I would consider food. Even the water sold there was not natural. Being a member of WAP allows one to be part of the most intelligent nutritional community which allows to learn proper nutrition for excellent health.
I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because it has complete and precious nutritional advice that can be accessed in one place. It is particularly useful when people ask me for more information. I give them just one URL and I know they will be really busy for months and that their lives will change!
1. What has your experience been of these dietary recommendations?
My experience is first as an individual and then as a parent. When I began following Dr. Weston A. Price’s principles and the dietary guidelines, it was a huge shift for this former vegan, gone vegetarian, gone meat eater, turned FARMER! I now live the lifestyle I promote, and it feels SO good. As someone who raises animals for consumption, I take great pride in the animals’ lives and the final product I sell to my consumers and feed my family. Grass fed and pastured products give the meat/eggs/dairy its original taste and nutrition, as our Creator imagined for us. My wife was born in southern Turkey, and ate an ancestral diet for the most part growing up. When she became pregnant with our daughter, the big focus was her diet. FCLO was a tough one for her, but she managed it daily and began to enjoy it! Fish, eggs, pastured meat, organs, and fermented foods as well as an assortment of local fruits and veggies made up the majority of her diet. Because our daughter was donor conceived and IVF, we knew that we had to really stick to this diet to ensure our child had the best chance possible to have a life free from dis-ease.
As a parent, my experience has been so much more rewarding. Following the WAPF principles for my child has meant a child who has never been sick. Seriously! Breastfeeding (and continuing on for many more years), showing her the path of true health, she won’t ever see the inside of a doctor’s office other than for height and weight checks! Following the WAPF dietary guidelines for my child has meant I have a 16 month old who eats almost completely differently than her peers. While her peers are chowing down on “poofs” and processed foods, my girl is eating salmon roe, raw dairy, fermented foods, sourdough, liver, pastured meats and eggs and of course her daily dose of FCLO. She has a broad, well developed face, a beautiful arch set inside a mouth filled with perfectly white, straight teeth (and she had almost all her teeth by a year and was getting her first teeth at 4 months!)
2. Why do you hope to receive the membership/renewal?
I intend to join WAPF, and I think if we are members for a year we would be certain to maintain our membership once we see all the benefits.
3. Fill in the blank. I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because:
Weston A. Price Foundation has given our family true health. My wife is a western-trained medical doctor (family medicine). She was taught so many things in medical school that took 8 years to complete! Many of these things she learned took only one book to reverse some of those beliefs (of course you know which book I am talking about- Nutrition and Physical Degeneration). In medical school, you are given almost no education on nutrition. Learning is a lifelong affair, and we have both learned so much from the WAPF. I appreciate the WAPF for the ongoing support they provide to myself and the rest of the community who is on this adventure!
1. What has your experience been of these dietary recommendations?
When I found WAPF, it was like a light switched on. The dietary recommendations make so much sense to me.
2. Why do you hope to receive the membership/renewal?
I would love to receive a membership because it’s unfortunately not in my budget at this time.
3. Fill in the blank. I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because _ of their tireless work to make traditional foods and food preparation methods accessible to so many people!______________.
1. My experience on WAPF dietary recommendations have been better moods and better able to handle stress and be perceived as a lunatic!
2. I would love to receive a membership to further educate my self and my community and since funds for supporting WAPF-like organizations for me are currently limited, such a gift would be most welcomed.
3. I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because the community members are fearless in their beliefs and advocate for health and nourished minds over anything else!
I am portuguese, i will try my best in english. Just a few weeks after i implemented your diet recomendations fully i completely healed my alergies and needed no more anti histamins, i healed some injuries i had, i could work much harded and still have energy, my life improved dramaticaly. BUT my wife was even better. She had”cronic athma”, alergies and constipation. She used an inhaler everyday and sometimes used an emergency inhaler. Well she now is completely healed of her athma and uses no inhaler for over a year. She can pratice sports freely and never gets any athma symptoms. We notice that if she stops taking cod liver oil, she gets athma symptons again .
I would love to receive a membership because i cannot aford it, but i enjoy learning from you so much that i would realy like to become a member. And be able to comunicate with the other amazing people who are also members. And maybe latter i can comtribute with donations .
I appreciate the weston A.Price foundation because i found real people who legitimatly care about the health and well beeing of others, and work so hard to help as many people as possible. The foundation gives so much information for free, i was able to help my self and my wife with what you give for free, and i belive everyone could also. It is amazing how much you do for the world, and we need you now more than ever. Thank you all for everything you do to support a healthy present and future for us all.
It’s clear the WAPF cares deeply about the health of everybody. They are generous with their knowledge and work to keep all their information accurate, but acknowledge the concept of moving forward with health and nutrition decisions even when all the information is not readily apparent. The WAPF understands how desperately some people need this information, right now, in their lives, and they have labored to provide it to those who need it the most through their vendor research & food resource guide, through updating their website to be user-friendly and accessible, through their conferences and teaching presentations, through journals, and most importantly, through community which is so important to those trying to raise healthy families.
WAPF has done more than any other organization to make it possible for people to change their health permanently.
I appreciate the Weston A Price Foundation for keeping the work of Dr Price alive and making it accessible to so many. Getting my copy of Nourishing Traditions changed our family for the better. I feel more nourished on the recommended foods than I have before in my whole life. I have always wanted a membership, and I do want to support the cause, but find it hard to pay for when my kids and I always have needs to pay for. I would love to experience the additional resources.
WAPF has changed my whole outlook about healthy eating and healthy lifestyle. I was under the impression that buying organic (processed food) is the most healthy choice one can make, which certainly is not true.
In over a year of following their blogs/podcasts etc., my whole idea about health and food has changed. Although I can’t follow (or sometimes agree with) a hundred percent what they recommend, I love what they do. I followed a few of their recommendations with my second pregnancy and had a healthy/better weight child, although I had to go for elective c-section around 37 weeks.
I am a member of this foundation now and I feel every penny I spent on the membership is worth it- it’s more like an act of ‘thank you’ that I joined than expecting anything else.
My husband and I are happier and healthier since following the Weston A Price foundation and diet. We love fresh local butter, and lots of healthy animal fats. Our food tastes better, we feel better, we’re sick less often, and heal faster. I would love to officially become a member of WAPF. I appreciate that the Weston A Price Foundation is spreading invaluable nutrition information, especially for pregnant and nursing mothers.
At age sixty, changing and implementing your traditional diet recommendations have given me strength, energy, and vitality. I’m active in martial arts and have daily strenuous workouts, and yet my body recovers naturally and quickly. Also my immune is at a level where I rarely experience symptoms of illness.
I would love a WAPF membership because at this time I can’t afford it, and I would be grateful to have the latest health information so I can get involved.
WAPF have been life changing for me, and I share all I’ve learned to all who will listen. It is one of the few websites that I trust, read regularly, and share with others.
This sounds wonderful. Would you text more about this to me. Phil Storch sorens17@gmail
Hi Phil, This giveaway has closed. You are welcome to become a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation, of course: https://www.westonaprice.org/why-join/
My experience with the Weston A Price Foundation started about a year before I conceived my daughter. I stumbled upon the book “Beautiful Babies” by Kristen Michaelis and that began my journey into exploring the benefits of eating real food. I followed the Weston Price Pregnancy diet to a T when I became pregnant and my pregnancy was AMAZING. I felt better and more energetic during my pregnancy than I had ever felt in my life because of the new way I was eating and my daughter came out perfect and happy and healthy!
I hope to become a member because this time in my life was 2½ years ago now and being a tired, working mom and struggling financially I’ve fallen off in my healthy eating habits, to a degree, and don’t feel as good as I did. I’ve turned to quick, easy processed foods and I’m desperate for the inspiration to get myself up, dust myself off and dive head first back into healthy eating and cooking again so I can feel better, especially as we are planning on trying for a second child later this year! I need motivation and inspiration to get healthy again!
I truly appreciate all the hard work, research and outreach that it takes by the Weston A Price Foundation to get this information out there and help the people of this world start healing themselves in spite of modern food and medicine and open the eyes of the world to the healing of real, traditional foods! You have a difficult job and you do it amazingly well! Thank you!
!. My experiences with these dietary guidelines has been so informative. I find it difficult at times to incorporate everything with my busy farm life but I do the best that I can. I feel that knowing this information has made me a more conscious eater and it has definitely influenced how I spend my food dollars. I make more and purchase less. Since we farm, I have learned so much about the relationship between food and soil. I had never heard the term “nutrient dense food” until I began to connect all of this together through the WAPF.
2. I would LOVE to receive this membership because I have always wanted to join but never made it a priority in our budget (things are challenging on a small farm!). I know this is an awesome organization. I have the Nourishing Traditions cookbook and WAP book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. I have shared it with others to get the word out there.
3. I appreciate the Weston A. Price Foundation because they are truth seekers, are passionate and are willing to do what no one else is willing to do. I believe they are champions of small farms while at the same time, honoring our food and farming history in a positive way:)
I am so glad that raw grass fed butter, meat and cream are available in markets today. I have been a proponent of whole foods for many years. I would really like to win a free membership from the foundation so that I can pass on even more good information. I often eat lunch with patients and I local cancer center and communicate with them about taking care of themselves without harmful treatments.
I would love to win a membership renewal as a gift for my mom. She is the one who first inspired my entire family to change our eating habits and our entire lifestyle to fit into the beliefs and values of WAPF. I am now bringing up my children (a toddler plus one on the way) in this lifestyle, complete with kefir, fermented veggies, bone broth and more REAL food! I owe that gift of health to my mother. And she still remains a wealth and source of information on health and nutrition. And that is also what I appreciate about WAPF… For being a continual source of reliable information on health, wellness and nutrition, with no other agenda, except to help make us, our children, and future generations healthy and happy. Thank you for this opportunity!
I was introduced to Nourishing Traditions 15 years ago by a new friend when I moved to Vermont. I had tried many diets/ways of eating (vegetarian, vegan, low fat, etc.) but definitely leaning towards whole organic foods. I always came back to “what did our ancestors eat? what did our grandparents eat? why?” Learning about WAPF and the traditional way of eating changed my and my family’s lives. It felt so good to eat fat and meat and wholesome food! It quickly became a way of life that didn’t require deprivation or cravings. We were just starting our homestead, so growing fresh veggies, fermenting, raising animals, and consuming raw dairy fit in perfectly.
I’m hoping to receive the membership because I want to continue learning about the health benefits of this dietary lifestyle. I have been thinking about this for awhile, and with my kids now grown and off in the world, I want to start up a WAPF chapter in my area and begin giving cooking/farming/fermenting classes at my local library and presentations at the farmers markets. I also want to introduce this way of eating the improve peoples’ health and connect them with local farmers to support our local economy and keep the land green and organic.
I appreciate the WAPF because you were the ones who dared to challenge the mainstream belief in low fat diets. Paleo, grassfed, full fat, and fermented are all now popular diet trends (and hopefully not just trends, but a way back to sustainability and health) thanks to your pioneering work! It certainly changed my life.
So yet again, what is the purpose of a “membership”? I have yet to have anyone say anything legitimate/relevant in response to this. It would be very important to determine this whether or not this massive effort of entry is necessary/wanted.
With your membership, you get quarterly journals, a yearly shopping guide, and other benefits that you can find on this page – https://www.westonaprice.org/why-join/. You are also just supporting an organization that you believe in.
If you read articles here or on the Weston A. Price Foundation website, if you follow either of us on Facebook, if you listen to the Wise Traditions podcasts, if you call or write to the Foundation with questions seeking answers, there are costs involved we all share in with our memberships.
Hello, I was on Facebook today and saw a fun, interesting ad for a children’s health game called Frugivoro in Fruityland. After a few minutes, I saw it was a company masquerading as a nutrition company when it’s actually a front for brainwashing kids into becoming vegan.
I follow the Weston Price diet and have had great success doing so. It makes me sick to see vegan people in every corner and outlet trying to push their point of view. As obnoxious as that might be, we have to draw a line with kids. Our children have every right to enjoy a nutritious, varied diet. Can you please help expose this company so that parents don’t fall for this nonsense?
